Octavo (10 x 6-7/8 in.) No. "1676 A.D." of 600 copies numbered from 1345 to 1944 A.D. (representing the 600 years since de Bury's birth). Original gilt quarter morocco buckram cloth boards, top edges gilt, others trimmed, original cardboard slipcase. Collates 84 pp.: [1], 2 -80, [1], 1 (justification), [2]. Negligible scuffing to spine edges, otherwise a fine copy, with a good slipcase having few defects. The translation is taken from the Grolier Club edition of 1889. Printed on laid paper in red and black by Peter Beilenson, Mount Vernon. Double-page red printed woodcut title and many red decorative initials by Valenti Angelo.
