Lithograph, 1938, published by the Chicago office of the Works Progress Administration, Federal Arts Projects. Signed, dated and numbered in pencil: “Isadore – 38” lower right margin, “4/25” lower left margin. On thick ivory wove Strathmore paper with full margins, image 40 x 28 cm, sheet 58.4 x 36.8 cm (23 x 14-1/2 in.). Fine condition.

This American realist-expressionist composition by Weiner, a registered W.P.A. artist in Illinois, conveys the tilling of a hard existence during the Great Depression.
