Recent marbled boards, original front wrapper preserved, top edges gilt, other edges uncut. Printed by Crapelet in fine black letter typography, woodcut frontispiece illuminated with gold and blue. Collates [5 ll. (binder's blanks)], 1 l. (original blue paper printed front cover), [1 l. (original blank)], 16 ll., 1 l. (editor's notice and publication note), [5 ll. (binder's blanks)], lacking original rear cover and original last blank. First critical edition following the single known original copy of a mystery play originally printed c. 1520, acquired by the Bibliothèque Royale de Paris in 1783 from the sale of the duc de La Vallière, extraordinary collector of the French theater. Rear original cover and last original blank missing, inconspicuous perforated library stamp on l. E.iiii, else fine, bright and tight. Brunet II, 138; Vicaire II, 887.

(original blue paper printed rear cover), [1 l. (binder's blank)]. First critical edition following the extremely rare copies of three facetious pieces first printed during the first half of the 16th century, complementing Maistre Aliborum qui de tout se mesle, which some have given to Pierre Gringore. Rear original cover skinned in gutter where once pasted to another leaf; some marginal notes and supplied punctuation in miniscule ink manuscript, insignificant negligible staining on final leaves, else fine, bright and tight.
