Small quarto (the pages 153 x 115 mm). One of 12 copies on fine handmade laid paper (there were also four copies on chine, four on vellum and a small number on ordinary paper). Recent marbled boards, original front wrapper preserved, top edges gilt, other edges uncut. Printed by Lahure in fine black letter typography, woodcut frontispiece. Collates [1 l. (binder's blank)], 1 l. (original blue paper printed front cover), [1 l. (original blank)], 8 ll., 1 l. (editor's notice and publication note), [1 l. (original blank)], 1 l. (original blue paper printed rear cover), [1 l. (binder's blank)]. First critical edition following the extremely rare copies of three facetious pieces first printed during the first half of the 16th century, complementing Maistre Aliborum qui de tout se mesle, which some have given to Pierre Gringore. Rear original cover skinned in gutter where once pasted to another leaf; some marginal notes and supplied punctuation in miniscule ink manuscript, insignificant negligible staining on final leaves, else fine, bright and tight.
