Miniature scroll, 680 x 50 mm. One of 40 copies. Printed in black, orange, gold and blue on parchment paper. On wooden roller, laid in paper-covered board book box with slipcase; natural silk clamshell box, spine lettered in red. Tissue reinforcement at top edge verso where attached threads anchored, else fine. The "Je ne suis" of the New Oxford Lectern Bible, conceived with Humphrey ("Lord of the mill ford") Millford, Publisher, Oxford University Press, and John ("son of John") Johnson, Printer to the University.

Provenance: Cornelius J. Hauck (1893-1967), by bequest to The Cincinnati Museum Center (deaccessioned 2006).
