Quarto (12-1/2 x 10-5/8 in.) Original blue buckram gilt on bevelled boards. Collates 60 pp.: [6], 48, [6]. 14 black-and-white plates (six double-page), all leaves and plates bound on guards, top and bottom edges trimmed, fore-edges uncut. Presentation inscription dated 1892 at Stirling on front endpaper. Covers slightly scuffed, bumped and worn at extremities, fine within, overall a very good copy. Four of the large plates are engravings reprinted from 17th and 18th c. plates.
