The Need for Art in Life
Little Blue Book No. 413
Girard, Kansas: Haldeman-Julius Company, 1915.

32mo pamphlet (125 x 85 mm overall) stapled with grey paper covers. Collates 64 pp. Spine split along fold, covers slightly sunned, small stains on lower front corner, former owner’s name neatly written at foot of title, else very good. Emanuel Haldeman-Julius (1888-1951) published over a thousand titles of his hugely popular "Little Blue Books" with the intent of making classic literature available cheaply, thus affordable to all. This title is abridged from a lecture delivered by Stoughton Holborn at the University of Manchester.
