Lithograph, 1939, published by the Chicago office of the Works Progress Administration, Federal Arts Projects. Signed, dated, titled and numbered in pencil: “L. Havens ‘39” lower right margin, “Spring 12/25” lower left margin. On thin ivory wove paper with full margins, image 445 x 348 mm, sheet 558 x 405 mm (22 x 16 in.). Partial split along upper left margin outside platemark, restored on verso, otherwise fine condition.

Havens had four recorded prints published by the Chicago W.P.A., one of the most successful producers of public arts projects during the Great Depression.
