First edition. Quarto (overall 10-1/2 x 8 in.). No. 11 of 250 numbered copies. Illustrated with six full-page wood engravings by P. A. Mairet. Quarter buff linen over blue-grey paper boards. Printed on fine watermarked handmade laid paper. Collates [3 ll.], 2 ll. (title, dedication, frontispiece engraving), 26 pp., 1 l. (colophon), [2 ll.]. Spine linen slightly worn along one edge, spine and covers very slightly soiled, touch of wear in one edge of front cover, usual offsetting from pastedowns onto free endpapers, otherwise very good, internally fine and bright, without any trace of foxing. With signed gift inscription of C.R. Ashbee to Wilfred Beardshaw on the front free endpaper, dated "Xmas 1927."
